I like to read other people's blogs. Almost every time I get on my computer, I check out my sister's blog, my brother's blog, or a friend's blog. (saying blog too many times can be weird, by the way) So, secretly I have wanted to join the ranks in the blogsphere, and now I am in!

This is sort of intimidating for me, since most of the people I know with blogs are married, and what's nice is they have someone there to tell them if what they have written is totally lame. I, on the other hand, have to be my own judge of that. Yikes. Bring on the rookie blogger.

A few weeks ago I wrote a list of 25 random things about myself. You may have already read my list, but I wanted to use that as my first blog post ever - and I think I'll stick with it. 25 is a lot of things though, isn't it? How about just 15? Here is my list of 15 random things (a bit modified from my former list):

1) I am a Spanish teacher. Which means my job does not end (literally - day - night -)until the middle of June. It also means I have the best job in the world.

2) I would rather be in El Salvador. I went there last August and am hoping to go again this summer!

3) I have been a runner for 1/2 of my life - and I recently found out I have to replace running with water aerobics. WHAT?

4) I would wear my blue, $5 sweatpants to work if I could. I am currently wearing them. :)

5) I fell in love with coffee in Honduras, 2004. Now I cannot get enough. If you have a Starbucks card you're not going to use - hook me up.

6) I love listening to sermons by Jeff Manion. Every sermon has changed me. (I listened to four of his sermons TODAY.)

7) I can't stand it when people use bad grammar. (unless you are Michael Scott, in which case that is your job.)

8) I went to camp in Iowa for 10 years of my life - it's a sacred place.

9) Every day I become more aware of my brokenness, which always brings me back to the One who can make me whole again.

10) I went to Calvin College and have somehow worked that into just about every conversation I have with high school seniors...

11) I watch episodes of The Office more than just about any other leisure activity.

12) Christmas in MN = the best.

13) I like to swim in lakes so much more than the ocean. I get annoyed when people say that the ocean is better - it's not a competition! (although lakes are way better.)

14) I want to write a book. Like, I really really want to write a book. How does one do that?

15) I can't leave the store (any store; Target, Ralphs, the farmer's market...) without buying candy. It's a problem.
