A beautiful post.

In the blogging world, apparently there is a beautiful award that you can give and receive. My sister gave me the beautiful award, so thanks, Heidi.

Here's how it works if you receive the award:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award.
2. Post this award to 15 other bloggers that you like to follow.
3. Leave them a message on their blog so they know they received the award.
4. Post 7 things about yourself.

I do not have 15 other blogging friends, but I do have a few...
Lindsay
Katie
Cami

Now 7 things about myself...
1. I like dark chocolate better than milk chocolate. I think it's better for you, too. Plus! :)
2. One time I spent the night in a very cold and scary train station in Europe. My friends and I were waiting for the train to come, so to pass the time, we huddled in a corner and read The Chronicles of Narnia aloud in Brittish accents.
3. I could drink coffee from Starbucks every day (new fav = Zebra mocha).
4. I often go on Youtube to watch funny videos.
5. I love rainy days in California (like today...sorry Nate, no sun for you while you're in Cali!) because they make me think of my 4 awesome years in Michigan. :)
6. I can tell you all the United States of America in alphabetical order. In song.
7. I play the guitar, and sometimes I dream of being a musical star up on the big stage. Like the Gamble Family, or something.

And that is that. Now a quick re-cap of my b-day..which was last Friday, Feb 19.
I taught all day - but by the end of the day, somehow my guitar was pulled out, and different kids in my class were playing and there was a LOT of laughter. Then my principal came in. For the record - he was not opposed to our Friday afternoon activities. Friday after school I had coffee with my very dear friend Cami. We work at school together, and she is one of the best people I've ever met. So we sipped coffee and chatted about life for a few hours at Starbucks. Then I met up with Aaron's family at Hometown Buffet - which some people may think is disgusting, but let me tell you....they have an icee machine! An icee machine! And they have one of those ice cream dispensers where you make your own cones. Delic! Aaron's fam is so gracious, and a ton of fun. We had good convo, good food, and they gave me a purse! I feel totally SoCal with this one..it's big and shiny. I'll post a pic of it here. They also gave me a big shiny SoCal wallet to put inside the SoCal purse.

Saturday a bunch of girls and I went wine tasting in Temecula. It was my friend Megan's b-day on Saturday, and she loves wine tasting...so we loaded up an old school conversion van and did just that. In the evening, Aaron and a few other friends met up with us at a yummy bbq restaurant, where the watiers brought out ice cream sundaes with candles for both Megan and I. I also received phone calls and lots of cards in the mail from family members. One of my favs was the one from the Cole family - it contained a penny, a hello kitty bandaid, random stickers, and a few crayon scribbles. Thanks, Sasha! :)

Glad you got your award even though I never commented on your blog telling like I was supposed to. Hopefully the other 2 do it anyway too!
