He's there...the Phantom of the Opera!

In front of the Pantages...on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in southern California. :)

Aaron's sister Claire turned 30 this weekend - so we celebrated Sunday night. Claire is the one holding the necklace - it was a gift from her son. The other pictures is me, Rosa, and Mia. Rosa is Nathan's girlfriend (Aaron's brother) and Mia is their daughter - what a cutie pie! :)
Sunday was the culmination of many funtivities for me. A few months ago Aaron surprised me with tickets to a show I have wanted to see since I was in Jr. High listening to the music in Katie's basement. Aaron picked me up at 9am, we enjoyed a slow breakfast with multiple cups of coffee at Mimi's restaurant, and then headed to Hollywood for the show. We got there nice and early, so we were able to wander around in the sunshine for a bit before going in - so we promptly located a place with ice cream treats to enjoy. :)
The show was all I thought it would be - amazing voices, sets, special effects, acting, etc. One crazy thing happened that I never thought happened, though. The female lead playing Christine got sick during intermission, so the understudy had to perform the 2nd half of the show. If the announcer would not have told us about it, I would never have guessed it was anyone different!
After the show we headed back to Aaron's to celebrate with his family for Claire's 30th bday. It's always a good time at their house with tons of delicious food, friends, and of course, one of the cutest babies around (besides Alexis and Charlie, that is) - Mia. She is Aaron's niece, and just so darn cute, I can't stand it. :)
In other news...I am enjoying my job, living situation, and schedule. It is good to have a routine again, and my students are pretty fun kiddos to work with, so that is a plus. I am already looking forward to Christmas break in MN, though - to have some good ol' Kleinsasser fun.
And that's about it...hope you enjoy the pictures!
