Music love = Adele. I realize I am way behind the times in mentioning that she is one of my favorite singers. I bought some of her songs on itunes, and am loving them, especially "One and Only," it is soulful. :)
Tuesday night routine = leading games and discussion at youth group. I love my church. LOVE it. And I love the kiddos who come on Tuesday nights. We know how to have fun!
TV show to get me laughing = The Big Bang Theory. Quirky and clever. Will Leonard and Penny end up together? I just don't know!!
Books I cannot put down = Nicholas Sparks...anything by this guy. All of his books have the same exact setting, people, storyline, and ending...but I LOVE them. Finished "Safe Haven" last week while babysitting, and am almost done with "The Lucky One" this weekend. It doesn't hurt that "The Lucky One" will be coming to theaters soon, and Zac Efron is the star. Can I buy my ticket in advance?.
Roommate(s) = Rose (and her boyfriend Walter). Rose is a great gal. She lets me talk on and on and on and on about my days as a teacher, and laughs at all the appropriate times. Walter is her boyfriend, and he is around a whole lot too, which is also a good thing. He helps me...er....COMPLETELY takes care of my car. Last September when my dad came to visit me in California, Walter made this promise to my dad that he would make sure I take good care of my trusty Toyota. Walter is good at keeping promises. :)
Coffee love from Starbucks = A hot, grande, non-fat toffee nut latte. You won't find this gem on the menu board, but go ahead and order it anyway. It is delicious!
Excitement ahead = my trip to Nicaragua, of course! I cannot wait to see my little nephew Alberto! Oh...he is just as cute as can be! And hanging with Joel and Lora always helps me to become a better person. For real. Hang out with them, and you'll understand. Oh, and I am also REALLY looking forward to seeing "The Hunger Games," in theatres in a few weeks.
Workout = a variety. I am so glad I have a gym membership - even though I live in SoCal and I can workout outside most days of the year, I love going to the gym. I can do a cool 20 min on the eliptical, then a solid 20 min on the bike, then hit up the stair-stepper for 7-10, head over to the weight machines and tone up, then put in a quick mile or two on the treadmil. That is what I call fun, especially if you have the "Gym Workouts" itunes mix that I have created. Adam Lambert? Check. Black Eyed Peas? Check. Glee? Check.
Proud moment of the weekend = I made a crockpot meal that will last me all week (and I can freeze it!) My roommate Rose makes meals ahead of time almost every day...and I just watch her cook from my perch at the kitchen table. But today, I had a stroke of genius and decided to make this recipe my friend Jessica gave me a few years ago. Lunch for the week? Check. Dinner for the week? Check. :)
If you can't tell, I took a 2 hour nap this afternoon....thus the stroke of genius and the long blog post at 10:35pm on a Sunday.
Here's to a successful, joyful, peaceful, and FUN week!
