I love Saturdays. I love Thursdays, too, because I get to watch The Office with friends...but Saturday mornings are my fav. Here's what I like to do on Saturday mornings if I am not working at a snack shack selling food for a Jackson fundraiser (like I did last Saturday for 12 hours...)
Saturday mornings I like to...
1) Go to water aerobics. The pool is outside, so I wear my shades, do an ab workout using one of those "fun" noodles AND look at the mountains in the distance. Bliss.
2) Come home and eat A LOT. Today it was oatmeal, strawberries, toast, and a glass of milk.
3) Make coffee. I have finally learned the art of making coffee at HOME and putting my own yummy creamer in it instead of constantly buying coffee....brilliant.
4) Get back in bed and check email. Today I read three emails: one from H, one from Z&M, and one from J. That is THE BEST.
5) Go on Youtube and watch funny things. Today I am watching old episodes of the Ellen DeGeneres show. She is hilarious. I love her. My goal for summer '09 is to score tickets to be in the audience of her show.
6) Clean. Cleaning is so much easier on Saturday morning than any other day - because I have the whole day in front of me to get it done - which means I do a better job.
7) Read. I just finished a book called 3 Willows by Ann Brashares. She is the author of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series - I got the book for my b-day and it was quite enjoyable. Next on my list - Let Justice Roll Down by John Perkins.
8) Eat more. I have this little bag of chocolates in my room and I like to just munch on it all day while I watch Youtube, clean, and check emails. Mmmm.
9) Hang with friends. Tonight a bunch of us are headed to a restaurant called The Yardhouse for a friend's birthday. I can't wait. Good food, here I come.
10) Talk to my family. I really like to call my parents or sibs on the weekends and sit outside in a chair in the sun while I talk. I love California in March. (remind me of that when it's July and 110 degrees outside, OK?)
I hope your Saturdays are restful and filled with activities that allow you to enjoy and relax. That's what Saturdays are for.

I am a huge fan of your blog...HUGE. It's like an ice cream sundae on a hot day or like a rainy day when you get to stay home and curl up on the couch with a good book and a cup o' jo. Love.
