Pictures out of order...of course...but you can appreciate them anyway...right?
Last weekend my good friend Jenny had a baby party in San Diego. She already had her sweet baby girl, Katja a few weeks earlier, so she wanted to just have a party with yummy vegan food, chocolate wine, and home-made cake so we could see Katja in person. Audrey, Jenny, (Laura...not pictured) and I studied together in Honduras back in college, and we all ended up in SoCal. How fun is that?? Now we get to celebrate the fun new events of life together.
My good friend and co-worker Nate bought a house awhile ago, and last Saturday night after the baby party in San Diego a few of us got to see the house for the first time. I have known Nate for a long time now, and he gets excited about a lot of things (anything to do with basketball, the state of Washington, or prep periods), but to see him get excited about his house is a whole new ball game. The guy is constantly talking about colors, designs, furniture, and other house-related details. I am so happy for him!
Nate doesn't live all alone in his new house, though.....our other good friend and co-worker Jeremy lives with him too. Jeremy is a good pal who I used to teach with at the middle school - he let me use his classroom back in the day when I was a traveling Spanish teacher. :) Jeremy and Nate were really great hosts for Karen, Megan, Audrey, and I. Jeremy even sacrificed some of his peppermint hot chocolate for me. Unfortunately my chronic fatigue kicked in, so I had to leave around 9pm to hit the hay.
For some odd reason, I wanted to get a picture of me entering the house and Jeremy greeting me....so enjoy this little 3-picture series. :)
And of course the timer picture....gotta love us all piling in around Jeremy in the chair! Aren't we a fun group of teachers?
